Questions I’m Often Asked
Is the casting safe for my baby?
Yes. We use a skin-safe, seaweed-based moulding material that is gentle on even the youngest babies.
How long does the appointment take?
Appointments usually last around 45 minutes. This allows time for the casting itself as well as choosing your preferred display and finishes.
How long will my keepsake take to make?
Most orders are ready to collect in around ten weeks.
This may sound like a long wait, but it’s important to give plenty of time for your cast to dry naturally to ensure it’s longevity. I can always send you a preview photo if you are excited to see your casts!
What age is best for baby casting?
Baby casting is available from newborn to 12 months. Most people choose somewhere between 3 weeks and 6 months – but it’s really down to personal preference. We also create castings for toddlers and older children – explore our family cast range.
